About

I'm an Atlanta, GA native, and a first-year graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Design. I'm interested in online communication and communities, as well as cross-cultural communication and design.

This term, I'm taking a required writing seminar, group project studio course, and research methods. I'm also taking a global communication course (studying basic discourse analysis/sociolinguistics), auditing a rhetoric and information design course, and playing violin in the All University Orchestra's symphony and chamber groups.

This journal will cover the work I'm doing in school, as well as my other interests (beautiful design, geology and the sciences in general, music, geeky stuff), and the usual personal stuff.
